The HILLS are an iteration of Apple's iconic screen savers for their phones and computers. The effect was created by creating the environment out of a single piece of geometry, and assigning a flat ramp shader that changes color parallel to the camera. There are countless combinations of colors and environments, but its hard to top Apple's design team.
